Today as part of our second PBIS lessons, the team participated in the drafting of a Social Contract. (Interestingly enough, we will learn about the original Social Contract later this year!) Students came up with ideas that should be a part of this contract. Each idea was discussed by the entire team and voted on. When we were done, every member of the team, teachers included, signed the contract. Students will be expected to uphold this contract; failure to do so will result in infractions.
Overall it was a pleasant experience to hear these young 7th graders develop this contract. It is obvious that most have a sound moral foundation...good job, parents! ;-)
